The lovely people from George at Asda invited us to take part in a fun challenge and find matching mum and daughter outfits from their range to style and wear to a party this summer.
Heidi is turning into a bit of a shopaholic and didn't take much persuading. We spent a fun evening browsing the George website and coming up with ideas.
Now according to none other than Vogue (yes we took our research that seriously). Denim is a huge trend for spring/summer 2016 and is set to continue through to autumn. With this in mind, Heidi and I decided to opt for Denim dresses from which there were plenty to choose from at George.
I am not one for walking around in heels and Heidi is very energetic when it comes to partying so we went for matching denim pumps on our feet (cute cat face optional). They were nice and comfortable and would easily allow you to dance the night away and pull your best moves.
Denim is SO easy to wear, comfy and effortlessly stylish. I loved styling my outfit with Heidi's and I honestly think it brought us a teeny bit closer if only for a second. Now that she's 7, she's always running off and playing but as we walked through the streets of Newcastle in our matching outfits, she insisted on holding my hand. Ahhhhh!
A quick walk through central arcade and then onto our favourite burger bar for dinner. We think our outfits would be perfect for any family get togethers or parties this summer.
