How to host an AWESOME Shopkins Movie Party #ShopkinsChefClub

Have you heard the news? Shopkins have released their very first movie! If you don't know what Shopkins are - have you been living under a stone? Shopkins are little grocery themed characters that kids can collect and trade. There are hundreds of them! Heidi and Jack are Shopkins mad. Me, I don't see the appeal but then again, I'm not exactly their target audience.

So, the new Shopkins movie 'Shopkins Chef Club' is rated as 'U' and therefore suitable for all. It's only 44 minutes long so quite short in length but I guess this means it is perfect for younger children who may not be able to sit still for a couple of hours yet.

You can buy the DVD on Amazon here which includes a limited edition Kookie Cookie Shopkin. You can also download or rent the movie from Amazon (but this doesn't include a limited edition Shopkin). I'll let the kids tell you what they thought of the movie here:

How to Host an AWESOME Shopkins Movie Party

A Shopkins movie party is the perfect excuse to invite your children's friends over and let them enjoy the movie whilst you hide in the kitchen with their parents and enjoy a nice coffee and a catch up. It doesn't need to be expensive and you can do this after school, at the weekend or in the school holidays. Here's what you need:-

1 - Invitations

You can download all you need for a Shopkins party movie party including signs, invitations, popcorn cones and chef hats for FREE here (opens PDF). 

2 - Shopkins Chef Club DVD

You can't have a Shopkins movie party without the DVD! You can buy your copy from Amazon here.

3 - Popcorn

Or should that be poppy corn?? Download your free Shopkins popcorn holders using the link mentioned above, fill a bowl with popcorn and let the kids help themselves. 

4 - Cake

Cake is the staple of any party right? We bought a platter of cupcakes from Asda for £5 and then topped them with these Shopkins cake toppers. It's all about the details! 

5 - Toys & Props

Again,  you don't need to spend any amount of money - just gather the Shopkins toys you already have together and ask guests to bring along their own Shopkins. If you did want to buy a little extra something, we recommend the Shopkins Whot! game which can be played after the movie (and it's less than a fiver). 

6 - Friends

The movie is so much more fun when watched with your friends so don't forget to invite them! 

7 - Party Bags

We tied a shoe box up with a Shopkins banner  and filled it with Shopkins treats for our guests. There are lots of little inexpensive treats you can buy online including sticker sheets,  Shopkins surprise eggs or Shopkins figures. Or guests can simply take away one of your Shopkins cupcakes to enjoy later.
