I am regularly asked for recommendations for places to take children for afternoon tea around North East England and it's a question that pops up time and time again in various Facebook groups so I decided to do a little research and share a few places in our region which serve this treat.
The list may grow as time goes on so let me know if you have a recommendation and I'll add it to this post.
Prices and menus are correct at time of writing (January 2020) but may change - always check before booking. Most afternoon teas will require pre-booking and some are only available during certain times of the year so please always call these venues well ahead to discuss booking.

ReplyDeleteOoh - how yummy. We'll be heading up at some point in the autumn to scatter my Grandma's ashes, so I'll try and book us in to one of these. It'll be a nice treat. xxx
ReplyDeleteI definitely think there is lack of places over in the North West that cater for children when it comes to afternoon tea. The North East seems to have it covered though, and some of these places look divine. I love taking Katie out for afternoon tea, but they usually just give her less and charge her half price x
