Where to Watch a Fireworks Display in North East England (2024)

Where to watch a Fireworks Display in North East England in 2024

Please remember times and events can change (especially as the weather does). Always double-check event details with venues direct before heading out.

Many of these events may be cancelled or postponed due to the current storm so definitely check with them direct.

This post has been split into two parts - the first part is ticketed events where booking in advance is recommended and the second part is un-ticketed events where pre-booking is not required.

Fireworks Events - PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

All events are subject to change and can be cancelled at the last minute (especially if the weather isn't on side). It's therefore super important to check the event is definitely going ahead via official channels before heading out.

FREE entry events usually raise £ for the community/charity. Please bring cash and donate if you can.

Funfair rides and food/drinks are not included (unless specified). I'd recommend bringing both cash and card.

Please travel by public transport if possible and if you do take your car, use official/public car parks and do not cause issues for local residents.

Most events do not permit you to take your own sparklers etc.... Keep these for home afterwards.

Wrap up warm - obviously, it can get chilly and even if it's been a mild day it will still be chilly at night.

It's nice to support local vendors but often I find there to be huge queues at these events. I'd recommend eating beforehand and buying a few snacks when you are there. That means you won't be starving / stressed about queuing and if the queues are too big, it's not the end of the world if you miss out.

AD Fireworks Essentials

Why not plan a DIY S'mores board and some sparklers for once you're back at home? Remember for kids to wear gloves and to stick the end in a carrot so they're easier to hold.
