During our trip to Cornwall in February, our favourite beach was Perranporth. Somewhere we just visited on a whim when the sun was shining. I'm so pleased we made the trip though as it was beautiful.
Perranporth Beach is a dog-friendly beach on the west coast of Cornwall (dogs must be kept on leads in July and August). It's around 8 miles from Newquay and a lovely place to add to your itinerary if you're planning a trip to Cornwall. The golden sands go on for miles and miles, the sea is good for surfing and there are rocks to climb/rock pools to discover. The Watering Hole pub is right on the beach and perfect for a quick drink or bite to eat and there are numerous ice cream parlours in the town (including a parlour dedicated to dog ice cream). Steve and I loved admiring the view from the beach pub beer garden as the kids played on the sand in front of us and H, H and J loved climbing the rocks and touching the Cornish flag at the top. I thought I'd let the pictures speak for themselves in this one. Let me know if you've ever visited.
Let me know your favourite beach in Cornwall.
