We have visited Lightwater Valley in the past over October Halloween and they go all out with the decorations - the whole theme park receives a bit of a spooky makeover and the atmosphere is fab.

Lightwater Valley reopens on 17 April and is now open every weekend plus daily during school holidays. Tickets should be pre-booked in advance and are priced as follows:
At the moment, Lightwater are limiting numbers and tickets must be pre-booked. Additional cleaning and hygiene measures and in place and there are socially distanced queue markers in place for the rides.
You can read more about what will be open / COVID precautions in place here.
We have always enjoyed Lightwater Valley and never found queuing to be a problem - we have visited 5/6 times over the years and always managed to get straight on most of the rides.
You may remember I shared earlier this year that some of the 'thrill' rides have now been removed and Lightwater Valley is very much placing themselves as a place to visit with younger / Primary aged children. Ideal as a first theme park visit.
This is great, we went back in 2019 and loved it so much. Its nice to hear they are framing it for little kids. Will definitely be planning a trip back once things settle.
ReplyDeleteIs there much suitable for a 2 year old or would you say worth waiting until they are a bit older? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI’m curious about this myself.
