Disclosure - I have worked with Pantrini's a few times in the past but this post has not been asked or paid for. We are regular customers and I wanted to share something to celebrate / support their 100th birthday.
A True Local Family Business
The Pantrini's family have been proudly serving Whitley Bay for over 100 years.
The business was established by the current owner Lee's great grandfather who came over to England from Italy in the 1920s and started helping his cousins' ice cream factories and cafes in Newbiggin and Whitley Bay and has been passed down the generations.
You can see glimpses of this family-history in the artwork of their new look restaurant and takeaway and read more here.
Did you spot Particularly Good Potatoes on this year's Hairy Bikers Up North? What a fabulous business. These Red Tractor Assured Northumbrian Farmers provide the potatoes for Pantrini's chips - you can't get more local than that and the quality speaks for itself.
Another recent local collab is the fabulous North East Artist Lines Behind who was commissioned to provide fresh branding and artwork for the restaurant last year. The final result looks brilliant and really captures both the family history and Whitley Bay community. I love it.
One thing I love about Pantrini's is that they are constantly innovating. They will never change their staples but often add seasonal touches to their menu which are brilliant if you fancy something a little different.
For example, this Christmas they are offering deep fried stuffing balls, battered pigs in blankets & brussel sprouts and a range of festive desserts. You can view their Christmas specials here.
Pantrini's offer daily specials, pensioner specials, GF options, kids meals, homemade fishcakes, desserts and more.
If you're in a hurry or have a particularly large order, you can give them a ring and order ahead too. Brilliant service!

Multi-Award Winning Fish & Chips (& they taste great)
Pantrinis have won multiple awards for their fabulous fish and chips including from the Fish & Chips Quality Awards, Fish & Chip Winners Awards & Young Fish Frier of the Year. They taste great too.
I'm not Gluten Free myself, but it's worth mentioning that Pantrini's offer GF options every day.
