A brand new Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse is set to open on Blackpool Sea Front below the Sealife Centre on 19 May 2023.
This indoor play adventure will feature characters from Julia Donaldson's best loved stories. The refurbishment cost a whopping £2.3 million to complete.

Areas include the Gruffalo's Deep Dark Wood & Princess Pearl's Castle from Zog. The zones will be themed around:
- The Gruffalo
- The Gruffalo's Child
- Zog
- The Snail on the Whale
- Room on the Broom
- The Highway Rat
Deep Dark Wood Adventure Play (Height Restriction 110cm-148cm)
Crawl, clamber and slide through this forest themed adventure play area filled with familiar characters.
Deep Dark Wood Soft Play (Height Restriction 110cm-148cm)
Use your climbing skills to travel back through the Deep Dark Wood with Mouse and the Gruffalo. You'll encounter Snake, Owl and Fox plus a padded maze, secret tunnels and netted bridges along the way.
Room on the Broom Toddler Play (Height Restriction Under 110cm)
Especially designed for younger children under 110cm tall, you can climb, slide and wriggle your way around as you watch the cauldron bubble to life through sensory play.
Gruffalo's Child Sensory Room
Step inside this magical winter night themed sensory room where you can enjoy physical and sensory play. Huddle in the warm Gruffalo cave or gaze around the icy surroundings. The choice is yours.
Zog's Dragon School Challenge (Height Restriction 80-148cm)

Enroll in Zog's Dragon School and take on Madame Zog's challenges in this multi-level soft play adventure. Test your fire breathing skills in the magic mirror, fly like a dragon and climb to the top of the tower.
The Snail and the Whale Seaside Play (Height Restriction 80-148cm)
Enjoy this vibrant deep sea ball pool with glow in the dark graphics and a blinking lighthouse.
The Woodland Cafe
Hot (Costa) and cold drinks will be available to purchase with The Highway Rat himself guarding all of the treats. Why not pose for a photo with him next to the 'wanted' poster?

The play area has been designed for children under 10 and play sessions last for 2 hours. Booking ahead online is recommended as once they reach capacity for a session, walk ins will not be permitted.
